To set and get insulation property for a duct route

Select

(Place Duct) tool.

The Place Component dialog appears.

(Optional) Select place pipe.

Key-in a value of 1 for the Lining | Thickness Parameters in the Property panel of Place Component dialog.

Position the pointer over the value field of the Parameters, and click the pull down button on the right. Select the Set as default properties menu option, and place a length of duct.

Continue by placing a second piece of duct. The second piece of duct will place with the insulation applied. So will the auto placed elbow between the two pieces of duct.

Reset to end auto placement routine.

Select another placement tool.

Position the pointer over a property in the Properties schema, and right mouse click.

Select the Get default properties option, and place the component. The newly placed component will have the same insulation thickness as the previously placed route.

Note: This process can continue until the application session is closed.
